Abstract:

The European Union (EU) funds projects that are pivotal in advancing the next generation of electronic components and systems.

EU-funded projects provide a valuable framework for developing cutting-edge technologies in the electronic components and systems sector. Through collaboration with academia and research institutes, companies like STMicroelectronics are able to optimize processes, integrate IoT systems, and utilize data analytics to drive advancements in Industry 4.0 and semiconductor manufacturing.

A key approach to speed up feasibility and developing phase for new products relies on tight collaboration with Academia and Research Institutes and the best framework is funded project for obtaining and achieving excellent results.

We show some examples about industrial advancements achieved within a European funded project in electronics SiC-based power device manufacturing by simulation and statistical methods for the virtualization of the processes design of experiment (V-DoE), the post-process metrology (V-metrology), processing equipment maintenance (V-maintenance).
