Professor of Experimental Condensed Matter Physics (02/B1) at University of L'Aquila, Department of Physical and Chemical Sciences with habilitations as Full Professor in both Physics and Chemistry areas (Italian Ministry of University and Research). His research is focused on science and technology of layered materials, topological phases of matter and nanomaterials. Previously, he worked at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Imdea Nanociencia-Madrid, Spain and Italian Institute of Tecnology-Genoa, Italy. Associate Editor of "Nanomaterials" (i.f. 4). Winner of three prizes for young researchers (Castagnoli by Italian Society of Physics, Di Braccio by Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei, and NEST Prize for Experimental Nanoscience) and inserted in the list of Top Italian Scientists for Materials Science & Nanoscience. He is author of more than 160 papers with more than 3600 citations (H=33).
